Home Health Aides and Certified Nursing Assistants can assist with activities of daily living.
Therapy & Rehabilitation
After a serious injury, illness or surgery, you may recover slowly.
You may need to regain your strength, relearn skills or find new ways of doing things you did before. This process is rehabilitation.
At Goodheart, we offer skilled professionals that will help you with your therapy/rehabilitation needs in the following areas:
- Physical Therapists (PT) – provide physical therapy to help your strength, mobility and fitness.
- Occupational Therapists (OT) – provide occupational therapy (OT) to help you with your daily activities.
- Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) – provide speech-language therapy to help with speaking, understanding, reading, writing and swallowing.
- Nurses and Physical Therapists – will both help you with treatment of pain and pain management.

Personal Care & Companions
Goodheart provides compassionate assistance for daily living for seniors and persons with disabilities. Assistance can be provided from 5 – 24 hours a day as needed for short term or long-term periods. Our nurses will tailor assistance to individual needs after an initial consultation with the patient, loved ones and relatives.
Care Services Include:
- Bathing, Grooming and Personal Hygiene
- Client Mobility / Fall Prevention
- Toileting and Sanitation Needs
- Daily Living Activities
- Meal Preparation and/or Feeding if Necessary
- Keeping Client’s Kitchen Area Clean
- Keep Client’s Living Area Clean and Neat
- Client’s Laundry as Needed (At Least Once A Week)
- Change Client’s Bed Linens as Needed
- Medication Reminders
- Monitor Vital Signs as Directed or Requested
- Provide Companionship That Is Both Stimulating And Gives Emotional Support

Medical Social Workers
Goodheart employs Medical Social Workers who will come to your home or assisted living facility to identify and address the emotional, social, safety and financial needs that frequently accompany health care issues. They provide the patient and family with the non- medical support needed to deal with acute, chronic and terminal conditions.
The Medical Social Worker will also help locate supporting resources (medical equipment, transportation, medication, etc.) available from the county and non-profit organizations. Our goal is to work together with you and your family to create a health plan that focuses on your needs while keeping a mindful eye on costly health risks.
